LG Boss Reassures Traditional Rulers Of Support

The Executive Chair
man of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Rita Agbo Ayim, has reaffirmed her administration’s readiness to create an enabling environment for traditional rulers in the area to operate.
Accordingly, the chairman of the council has promised to work with the traditional rulers through the office of the paramount ruler to bring peace and unity in the area.
Addressing the chiefs, the council boss advised them to ensure that peace remained the watchword in their various communities, especially areas that Fulani cattle rearers were found.
She appealed to the chiefs from those areas to look for a piece of land for the cattle rearers, warning however that no one should victimize or attack Fulani communities, but should create a peaceful atmosphere for co- existence among the people.
Also speaking, the council chairman told the traditional rulers that their role as the custodians of the people’s culture and traditions should be topmost in their minds and they should do everything within their powers to protect their subjects.
Responding on behalf of the traditional rulers’ council, HRH, Ntol Gregory Adima, called for patience among the chiefs, and expressed appreciation to the chairman for according them the fatherly respect.
He promised the chairman that the chiefs would do everything possible to maintain peace and unity in their respective dormains.
In a related development, the Executive Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon. Rita Agbo Ayim, has made a donation of N100,000 to a youth corps member, Mr. Bamidele John, at the launch of his book.
The book, titled, “Entrepreneurship”  Unveiling the Secrets of Building and Running a Successful Business”, was written by the youth corps member serving in Ogoja local government council.
Speaking during the book launch, Hon. Ayim commended Mr. Bamidele, for the initiative, saying that she felt honoured to be called up to launch the book.
She said she was elated to launch the 129-page book, and described Bamidele as her younger brother, a son that needs the assistance of the entire Ogoja people to grow. She added that her government was ready to assist those who had distinguished themselves among their peers.
The chairman encouraged him to explore his youthful age by venturing into those activities that would help him contribute towards nation building, adding that the book would be of great importance to the people of Ogoja.
