The International Director of Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Pastor Isaac Olori has urged Christians to fight for their salvation, as the weapons of their war are not carnal, but mighty through God.
Pastor Olori who gave the charge at the August Healing Service of the church in Rukpokwu, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State reminded Christians of the spiritual war fought by Jesus Christ to save mankind.
The man of God further recalled the war as fought by the Israelites which led them into the promised land, saying that spiritual war rages in all humans irrespective of religious affiliation.
Drawing his sermon from 2nd Corinthians Chapter 10, Verses 3-6, he stressed the need for Christians to constantly be conscious of that war, exhorting them to “fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life.
According to him, “the intention of Satan on this earth is to enslave God’s children but we can be free if we do the right thing,” pointing out that ignorance of the spiritual battle and the word of God leads to vulnerability.
He charged Christians to see prayer as a weapon of strength that can keep them and the Church strong to forge ahead, noting that with prayer, God can provide the enablement for his people to fight the heavenly battle successfully.
X-raying the lives of Christians and non-Christians alike, Olori said “the ups and downs of our daily lives are symptoms of the battle within us,” pointing out that the economic and health status of Nigeria are a pointer to the scenario and urged the government to address the issues with the urgency they deserve.
“We need to address the root cause of our problems before we can win the battle. Sin and demonic oppressions such as sickness, fear, depression, unbelief, unforgiveness, corruption, among others are the strongholds of Satan in the fight against the people of God.
Meanwhile, the GEWC has announced the celebration of its 45th anniversary holding from 7th to 10th September, 2017 at the church’s World Headquarters, Rukpokwu, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
