A four-man team of Communication for Development of United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF) has visited Cross Rivers State for appraisal of hygiene and sanitation programme sites in Odukpani under the SRIP II Project.
The Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr Elemi Etowa, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Theresa Edet, received the team to the State and thanked God for bringing them safely.
Engr Etowa commended them for their support to the State and prayed that this partnership should continue.
The Programme Manager of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWATTSSA), Mr Patrick Emori made Presentation on tools of communication. He said tools of communication include awakening consciousness of communities on the poor state of sanitation to creating awareness on building toilets and using them.
He added that it also include hygiene improvement framework on the five domains of Hygiene, media awareness like news, documentary and media alliances on intervention of WASH activities.
